Link to Libraries
Link to Libraries is a nonprofit organization founded by Susan Jaye-Kaplan and Janet Crimmins. The organization collects children's literature and monetary donations in order to send new books to underserved elementary school libraries, hospitals and other places in need throughout Western Massachusetts.

Build IT
Girls Inc. of Holyoke is piloting Build IT, a technology curriculum based on girls’ natural inclination to build and design. Girls learn about the internet and online research, in addition to online safety and communication. Our girls spend hands-on time designing and building while also learning how computers, the internet and technology work!
Love of Self Masquerade Ball
After School Program girls, ages 5-12, participated in a masquerade ball with the theme The Love of Self. The ball culminated a curriculum that was centered on girls looking within themselves to find value and self-confidence. Throughout the past month girls have participated in activities and discussions around what it means to love themselves, their families and their community.
National Girls and Women in Sports Day 2009
National Girls and Women in Sports Day was celebrated at Girls Inc. on February 4th!
"NGWSD began in 1987 as a day to remember Olympic volleyball player Flo Hyman for her athletic acheivements and her work to assure equality for women's sports. NGWSD has evolved into a day to acknowledge the past and recognize current sports achievements, the postive influence of sports participation, and the continuing struggle for equality and access for women in sports. Girls Inc. programs run full time in the summer! Girls enjoy programming, fieldtrips and other adventures five days a week!
Bay Path College Field Trip
Girls Inc. discovers Bay Path College (Longmeadow, MA) on a fieldtrip in December. The girls enjoyed taking a tour, meeting faculty, staff and students, playing games, trying out the fitness center and enjoying a delicious dinner! Thank you Bay Path!
